Community Volunteer Opportunities
Child sexual abuse is a community problem. As such TAALK’s vision is to inspire and support community coalitions to raise awareness and educate members in their own community on ways to prevent child sexual abuse, recognize potential victims and react responsibly to support those victims.
Community coalitions begin with just one person who has a heart felt interest in protecting the children in their community. The passion of that one person and the dedication of TAALK’s staff will allow that coalition to grow and over time become a full functioning prevention, education and support program.
Contact us to see if there’s an existing community coalition established in your area so you can get connected. If there isn’t a coalition already formed and you’ve got the passion, we welcome the opportunity to help you get started.
Every community has different requirements for their child sexual abuse prevention program depending on their geographical size, population and age distribution. Below is a list of roles and responsibilitiesfor a mature community coalition but remember, it only takes one person to make a difference. Review the list to see where your skills can be best utilized and then let us know how you want to help. We’ll train you and teach you everything we know about developing and executing a community prevention program and put you in touch with others in your community who want to help.
