Anna Luise Kirkengen - Anna Luise Kirkengen, MD, PhD, is a specialist in family medicine and has been a primary care physician in the city of Oslo, Norway, for 30 years. As a researcher, she has explored the health impact of childhood sexual abuse, resulting in a medical thesis and in books on the topic. She is appointed professor in family medicine at the Universities of Tromso¸ and Trondheim, and a senior researcher at the Center for Health Promotion at the University Hospital Akershus (all in Norway).

Bruce S. McEwen - Bruce McEwen, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist who studies stress and its effects on the brain and body. Though a basic researcher, Dr. McEwen applies his knowledge to the human condition through membership in the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child and the Board on Children, Youth and Familes of the National Research Council.
